Official URL: http://www.australianalps.environment.gov.au/publications/research-reports/index.html AbstractOnly a tiny proportion of mainland Australia (0.1%) carries snow in winter
but its significance for conservation, water supply and recreation is
considerable, and substantial economic interests are involved. Many of the effects of
snow on the landscape are expressed through the vegetation and hydrology, but as
these topics are discussed by other contributors we shall confine our attention to the
effects of snow on the landforms. | Item Type: | Book Section |
