Letters from William Bell Leake, eldest son of John and Elizabeth Leake, to his father and one to his mother regarding the Derwent Bank where he worked untl 16th July 1832, impressions of Hobart, gossip, sabbatarianism, land purchase, wool sales, horses, bullocks, the beginning of foundations of the new bank, Miss Birch's proposed marriage with Simeon Lord (29 April 1831); servants, suggesting men servants undesirable as house servants (19 Oct 1831), family.
