Abstract

Papers of Roy Bridges (1885-1952), Tasmanian writer and newspaper reporter, including some correspondence and agreements with publishers and manuscripts or typescripts of much of his work, including unpublished material. The Collection also includes manuscripts of Hilda Bridges, Roy's sister. A catalogue of The Roy Bridges Collection compiled and introduced by D. H. Borchardt and Mrs Bonnie Tilley provides a detailed list and index of the literary ms and is appended. Some of the manuscript drafts are very rough and untitled. A supplement of additional items not in the catalogue has been added. A complete set of Roy Bridges published works was presented to the State Library of Tasmania. Some early manuscript material is in the Mitchell Library, Sydney.
