Abstract

Owners of barque "Helen" in account with H.J Ford. Entries include personal names and items such as towage, water, labour, pilotage, inspection of machinery, receipts by cheque, cash etc. Pages sometimes headed with name of port, usually Hobart, also Adelaide. Also record of cash paid to members of crew. Mainly local coastal trade from Woodbridge, Cygnet, Dennes Point, Deep Bay, Port Esperance to Hobart by SS Ronnie, Nubeena, Huon or Lottah.
