Abstract

This company was started in Launceston in 1926 by James Edward Thyne, Chairman, and Sinclair Jeavons Thyne, Secretary and Public Relations Officer; shares also being held by other-rnembers of the Thyne family. Thyne Bros. produced woollen knitted garments (Tamar lambswool), jersey cloth and in about 1940 introduced knitting yarn.
