Abstract

Letter book 16 Aug 1847 - 9 Sept. 1850. Business letter book of John Thomas Waterhouse, general Trader and shipowner of Hobart. The letters are addressed to traders, agents in mainland ports and relate to cargoes of all kinds, including provisions, spirits etc. In Wood's Royal Kalendar of 1849 J.T.Waterhouse, shipping agent is listed as owning 6 ships (John Bull, Scout, Timbo, Triton, Waterlily and Maguasha.RS.86
