Witton, JG and Clark, AI and McGrant, Rev (1886) Letter to Andrew Inglis Clark, Tasmania from Joseph G. Witton, Melbourne dated 19 January 1886. University of Tasmania Library Special and Rare Materials Collection, Australia. (Unpublished) | PDF - Requires a PDF viewer 277Kb |
AbstractSorry to hear that Clark had spent Xmas in the sick bed, but hoping health well restored. Got back safely from trip to Sydney. Attended the Unitarian Church of Sydney where the preacher was a Rev. McGrant whose sermon was blunt, plain and practical. There has been an increase in the offertory due to taking the plate around rather than the box at the door. Walters' absence here means there has been a variety of people in the pulpit.
