Abstract

Today as I write in mid-July, more than two hundred native forest contractors and industry leaders have ascended on high to the verdant lawns of State Parliament in Hobart. Their protest provides for a peaceful if determined expression of their angst at increasingly shaky employment prospects in native forest harvesting and processing in Tasmania.
