Clathrodictyon and Ecclimadictyon (Stromatoporoidea) from the Ordovician of Tasmania

Abstract

Five species of late Ordovician clathrodictyid stromatoporoids are described and illustrated from Tasmania. Of these, three are new species of Clathrodictyon-C. idense, C. molense and C. plicatwn-and a fourth is a new species of Ecclimadictyon-E. undatum. They come from localities in the Mole Creek, Ida Bay and Florentine Valley areas, from horizons towards the top of the Gordon Limestone Subgroup.
