Abstract

On the evidence of a chalcedonic flake, W. H. Twelvetrees (1917) concluded that the Tasmanian aborigine had inhabited this island for, humanly speaking, a vast number of years. When we come to ask how the Tasmanians reached Tasmania we find considerable diversity of opinion.
