Meteorological records recorded at the Observatory, Hobart Town. Also includes leafing, flowering, and fruiting times of a few standard plants in the Royal Societies gardens for the month of May, 1870.-
Though the character of the month, climatically considered, was abnormal,
the deaths were much below the average, and never before were the deaths
under 20 years of age so few.
