Abstract

It will be understood from the previous papers that the
the Mosses of this and the neighbouring colonies are, like
the fauna, singular and peculiar, presenting genera and species
analogous in many respects to those of the British Isles, and
yet many of them have some peculiarity of structure rendering
them unique.

In 1855 its name changed to Royal Society of Tasmania for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science. In 1911 the name was shortened to Royal Society of Tasmania.
