Abstract

The Annual General Meeting of the Royal Society was
held in the Society's Rooms, Museum, on Tuesday, 18th
March, 1913.
In the absence of the President, the chair was occupied
by Dr. Noetling, and the Aunual Reports for 1912 were
submitted.
Eight monthly General Meetings and two Special
General Meetings were held during the year. Nine Ordinary
Meetings and one Special Meeting of the Council were
held during the same period.
Includes election of members, report of section, receipts and expenditures.

In 1843 the Horticultural and Botanical Society of Van Diemen's Land was founded and became the Royal Society of Van Diemen's Land for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science in 1844. In 1855 its name changed to Royal Society of Tasmania for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science. In 1911 the name was shortened to Royal Society of Tasmania.
