Abstract

This item is listed in the contents for 1894 as being an abstract, however the only information in the text is the following sentence in the May proceedings. 'The Secretary (Mr. Morton) submitted a paper prepared by Mr.
George Hogben upon "Tasmanian Earthquakes of 1892," which was
read.'

In 1855 its name changed to Royal Society of Tasmania for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science. In 1911 the name was shortened to Royal Society of Tasmania.
