Abstract

The warm weather at the commencement of the
month soon came to an end, it set in wet and stormy
on 4th and 5th, and then cold mornings and bright
warm days till 12th and 13th,
There were several heavy rains during the month,although the end of the month was so cold, it was still warmer than last April.

In 1855 its name changed to Royal Society of Tasmania for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science. In 1911 the name was shortened to Royal Society of Tasmania.
