Abstract

Photograph from the collection of James Backhouse Walker of a view of Hobart from Edgar Snowden's house, according to notes on the reverse. Above Barrack Street looking towards Battery Point with St Georges Church on the far right. The photograph is by Anson Brothers and it has been noted that it is similar to one of about 1880 featuring in 'Colonial Life in Tasmania' by Allan Sierp.
