Abstract

Letter from Elizabeth Ann Glover to James Backhouse Walker written on 18 September 1873, in which she accuses him of making 'a mendacious and insulting attack on the memory of [her] father' in a Mercury article entitled 'Tasmanian History written by J.E. Calder'. The dispute was over versions of the capture of Sorell by bushrangers in 1825.
