Abstract

Stable organopalladium(IV) complexes [fac-PdMe3(L)]1 (L = tridentate nitrogen donor ligand) are formed on oxidative addition of iodomethane to PdMe2(L); the tris(pyrazo1-1-yl)methane complex is isostructural with the platinum(IV) analogue.
