Dimethylpalladium(II) and Monomethylpalladium(II) Reagents and Complexes

Syntheses of organopalladium(II) reagents containing N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (tmeda), pyridazine, dimethylsulfide, 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy), triphenylphosphine and bis(1,1'-diphenylphosphino)ferrocene (dppf) are described, together with trans-dichlorobis(dimethylsulfide)palladium(II) and trans-dibromobis(dimethylsulfide)palladium(II). Syntheses are described for dimethyl(pyridazine)palladium(II), monomethylpalladium(II) complexes of dimethylsulfide, [PdMe(SMe2)(mu-X)]2 (X = Cl, Br, I), PdMe2(tmeda) and PdXMe(tmeda) (X = Cl, Br, I), PdMe2(dppf) and PdXMe(dppf) (X = Cl, Br, I), cis-PdMe2(PPh3)2 and trans-PdClMe(PPh3)2 (X = Cl, Br, I), and trans-PdXMe(bpy) (X = Cl, Br, I).
