Abstract

Letters written by Louisa Anne Twamley and her daughter of the same name (later to become Louisa Anne Meredith), in England, to their relatives George Meredith and his wife Mary in Van Diemen's Land, as well as letters from Maria Meredith to her brother Henry, and Louisa Bromley to Mrs. Meredith, between the years 1829 and 1835. The letters were written prior to the marriage of Louisa to her cousin Charles Meredith in 1839 and their subsequent voyage to Sydney then Van Diemen's Land in 1840. Royal Society Collection.
