Abstract

This paper provides an overview of the equipment developed and the techniques implemented so boundary layer behaviour may be examined within the Australian Maritime College Cavitation Tunnel. This work was conducted as part of a larger project to understand the flow about Unmanned Underwater Vehicles. A summary of some results for flow about a prolate spheroid is provided and discussed. These tests for the spheroid were conducted at Reynolds Numbers of 1×10 to the power of6 to 4×10 to the power of 6.
