The top portrait is of their eldest son Robert (1847-1913). The second row is eldest daughter Ann Benson (b.1845) and her sister Sarah (1846-1875). The middle row is Robert Andrew Mather (1815-1884), second son Thomas Bourne (b. 1851) and Ann Mather nee Pollard known as 'Aunt Ann' (b. 1820). The fourth row is youngest daughter Jane Dixon (b.1854) and third son Joseph Benson (1852-1890). The last portrait is probably of Harriett Eliza Ann Mather (b.1859) adopted daughter of John and Isabella Mather. The photographer was Charles Alfred Woolley who had studios in Macquarie Street, Hobart from c.1860-1870. | Item Type: | Other |
