Abstract

Decisions on whether to use a particular medication for a specific condition are based on several factors. In general, the best evidence comes fromsuitably powered randomized controlled trials and/or meta-analyses if there are multiple trials. However, although these trials provide strong evidence of efficacy, they are often criticized because of several well-recognized limitations.
