The Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) has developed several initiatives designed to enhance sustainability of information flow to communities during emergency events. In 2006 the DSE and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) was successful in receiving funding from the Natural Disaster Mitigation Program (NDMP) Community Partnerships project to initiate a joint project aimed at improving information flow to communities. The purpose of this review is to provide an assessment of the progress towards meeting these goals though auditing previously compiled feedback to:
Identify areas where improvements have been made as well as any issues that continue to remain problematic;
Identify where improvements may be made in Information Unit functioning.
