Davies, PE (2008) Sustainable Rivers Audit (SRA) Report 1 2008: Challenges and Results. In: Presentation to NWC and DEWHA, Sept-Oct 2008, Canberra, ACT. Official URL: http://fcms.its.utas.edu.au/scieng/zoo/pagedetails.asp?lpersonId=711 AbstractThis presentation summarises the results and key components of the first Sustainable Rivers Audit Report on the ecological health of rivers of the Murray Darling Basin, Australia, released in June 2008. The SRA is a basin-wide surveillance program administered by the Murray Darling Basin Commission (MDBC) in jurisdictional partnership. It is a consistent assessment of biophysical condition and ecological health of the Basin’s rivers using a statistically robust sampling design and multiple ecological components (hydrology, fish and macroinvertebrates - vegetation and physical form are being added). It reports at valley and zone (within valley) level at three year intervals. | Item Type: | Conference or Workshop Item (Paper) |
