Liber Ruralium Commodorum

Abstract

Petrus de Crescentiis (Pietro de Crescenzi), Liber Ruralium Commodorum. Pr. [Georg Husner], Strassburg, 1486. Crescenzi (c. 1233-c. 1321), a Bolognese jurist, wrote this treatise on farming c. 1305. It was immensely popular: more than 91 manuscript copies are known; it was first printed at Augsburg in 1471. Inside one of the coloured initials is a name, ‘Jehan de Lacorne’.
