AbstractThis study at the Rosebery Mine was set up within the general framework of the Company programme to identify new base and precious metal targets for exploration on the E.Z.'s mining leases. The prime objectives of this study are:
(1) to investigate the geological and mineralogical characteristics of the ore mineral zonation and metal distribution (Zn, eu, Ag, Au, and Fe) on an orebody scale
(2) to understand the geometry of the Rosebery orebody in relation with the metal zonation and distribution
(3) to determine the location of hydrothermal vents and evaluate possible trends in the vent positions that may be used as a guide to exploration in areas adjacent to the mine.
In addition, a detailed mineralogical and geochemical study on the gold and alteration mineralogy in the Fe-S-O replacement assemblages in the F-lens of the south-end orebody will be included in the final report. | Item Type: | Report (Technical Report) |
