Related URLs: AbstractThis is the fifth progress report for AMIRA Project P384A and comprises two reports prepared by David Leaman in the latter half of 1997. The first is called "Considerations concerning mineralising fluids within the McArthur Basin with particular reference to the HYC deposit" and is an attempt to address the fourth objective of the project. It has been the subject of considerable discussion within the CODES P384A research team and does not represent a consensus view on where the HYC ore-forming fluids originate. The second report, "Some regional geophysical
models for the Mount Isa - Cloncurry region", was
previously circulated to sponsors in loose format in
November 1997. An Appendix to the report reproduces a paper by Leaman from issue 1 of this year's Australian Journal of Earth Science. It is essentially the same report prepared by David Leaman for the final report in AMIRA P384, circulated to sponsors in June 1995; it is included here because it provides important background to the first report in this volume.
