Abstract

Jamin (a.k.a. Benjamin Kluss) is an artist based in Hobart, and former tutor and lecturer at the Tasmanian School of Art. His artwork hybridises painting techniques associated with the street and the gallery, and his works are found in both places.
Jamin was the recipient of the McCulloch Studio Residency in Paris for 2011. His talk will focus on his adventures and mis-adventures abroad, from such fine art highs as the Venice Biennale to the depths of the Catacombs in subterranean Paris, alongside images of some notable artworks encountered and his own work.
