Abstract

Meteorological records recorded at the Observatory, Hobart Town. Also includes leafing, flowering, and fruiting times of a few standard plants in the Royal Societies gardens for the month of June, 1870.-
The general character of the month was not propitious to life, and the
deaths of adults, and particularly old people above 60 years old, were unusually large,
while in children under 10 years of age, the deaths were remarkably
few. Nevertheless, there was no prevailing sickness of an epidemic character.
