Abstract

Lecture notes of Mary Augusta Walker, artist and art teacher. The first one gives Mary's opinion that a woman's first duty is to her children so mothers should not be artists because that means devoting your whole life to your work. The following lectures discuss subject making in art, compare English art with the 'Modern French School' and conclude with her speaking of her own art work.
