Abstract

Petition requesting that the Police Magistrate, Francis Aubin, call a meeting to present a petition of thanks to Governor Arthur for capturing the Aborigines. The petition was signed by 18 inhabitants. The document includes minutes of the meeting with Dr. George Story's address, and praises the Governor's attempts to curb the activities of the Aborigines while remaining humane.
