Abstract
Advances in the management of karst in Tasmania have been
intertwined with broader questions of land resource
allocation and also political relations between the
Commonwealth and State Governments. Wilderness
conservation issues have been particularly important as
there are extensive karsts in the Tasmanian wilderness
