Abstract
Northern Branch of the Royal Society of Tasmania Records, 1934-74.
The Northern Branch was formed in Launceston in 1853 but no record of activities appears in R. S. Annual Reports after 1860. In 1921 the Branch was reformed. From 1943-74 the Hon. Secretary/Treasurer was also Director of the Queen Victoria Museum, Launceston. When the Council Headquarters was moved to the Northern Regional State Library, Branch records were removed from the Museum.
