Abstract
Photograph of Rosedale, Campbell Town, Van Diemen's Land. The property, Rosedale, was granted to John Leake (1780-1865) in 1823, shortly after he arrived in Tasmania. Leake and his family lived first in a simple three room cottage. A larger eleven room house was built in c1828, and in 1846, Leake commissioned James Blackburn to redesign and extend the existing house. Pr.Lea/3
