Abstract

Throughout Tasmania, there is a deeply-rooted belief in the
existence of a distinct species of snake, of small
size, called the "Minute Snake."
However, there is no precise published data on the "minute Snake."
Specimens of snakes were received in order to study them in detail, but upon examination of the specimens it was consistent with the diagnosis of Boulenger.
