Abstract

Conservation of Tasman Peninsula's heritage values is essentially an investment in the future of the peninsula. Appropriations for the purpose, rather than being treated as dispensible and unnecessary costs, should be regarded as part of the regular maintenance of an investment package of historic significance and development potential.
