Abstract
Photograph of a young man. Bequeathed by John Murray Harrisson, great grandson of John Lee Archer, 1941. The Cabinet card was produced in the early 1860's, it was 11 X 17cm and usually included extensive logos and information on the reverse side of the card to advertise the photographer’s services. It peaked in popularity in the 1880's. This card is blank on the back but has rounded corners and is printed in gold text on black card stock indicating a date 1880's-1890's. Photographer's name and address printed in gold below image: Yeoman & Co. 213 Chapel St. Windsor and at 47 Chapel Street, Prahran. John Yeoman & Co.had a studio at 213 Chapel Street, Windsor 1888-1889 and 47 Chapel St, Prahran 1884-91 RS.123/16
