Abstract

Family portrait of mother and three children. Bequeathed by John Murray Harrisson, great grandson of John Lee Archer, 1941.Thought to be Charlotte Gibson and her three children, Charlotte Rosetta, William George and Charles.Photograph taken possibly 1869-1870. Her husband died 18 May 1868 Middlesex, England. The Cabinet card was produced in the early 1860's, it was 11 X 17cm and usually included extensive logos and information on the reverse side of the card to advertise the photographer’s services. It peaked in popularity in the 1880's. This card is blank on the back and the photographer is unknown. RS.123/16
