Abstract
On Saturday, the 3rd inst. , the Council
of the Royal Society of Tasmania received
from the trustees of the British Museum
(Natural History), through the kind offices
of Sir Wm. Flower, K.C.M.G., F.R.S., the
Director of the Museum, a very valuable
gift of bound works, issued by the authorities
of the British Museum. The whole of
the works are beautifully illustrated, and
will form a valuable addition to the Society's
library.

In 1855 its name changed to Royal Society of Tasmania for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science. In 1911 the name was shortened to Royal Society of Tasmania. |
