The members of the Royal Society of
Tasmania held their opening meeting of
the 1903 session on Tuesday evening, the
14th April, the President, His Excellency
Sir A. E. Havelock, G.C.S.I., G.C.M.G.,
presiding.
Includes the Annual Address delivered by His Excellency,Papers presented, Obituary of Mr. Mault, general remarks, election of new fellows, and papers read by Mr. T. Stephens, Mr. Green and Mr. Twelvetrees.

Additional Information:	In 1843 the Horticultural and Botanical Society of Van Diemen's Land was founded and became the Royal Society of Van Diemen's Land for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science in 1844. In 1855 its name changed to Royal Society of Tasmania for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science. In 1911 the name was shortened to Royal Society of Tasmania.
