Abstract
Mr. Johnston refers to Mr. Green's paper in relation to immigration to Tasmania and predicts that: assuming that the annual rate of
growth of population during the last
decade (1'64) will be maintained without
any material change throughout the next
100 years, the following table has been
prepared by me showing the estimated
population m single years for the first ten,
and thereafter in intervals of ten years.
The population of the Commonwealth is given for comparison at intervals of ten
years. (see table presented in the pdf).
