Abstract
Letter from Ann Archer (nee Weston, wife of Joseph Archer) to Aunt Jane Clark 1861 - 1872. Written at Panshanger, Longford, Tasmania, dated January 25th, 1868.
Joseph Archer married Ann Weston, daughter of William Pritchard Weston and his wife Ann Dubrelle Clark on 28 Dec 1852. Joseph and Ann had nine children between 1854 and 1871.
"Aunt Janet much aged since I last saw her. Has not seen anything of Kate or Edward but Joseph saw them going to the chapel at Longford. Fanny Cleke I am told is very queer, and has an eruption over her face so badly she was not able to go to the dances. Robert Archer told Joseph at a sale last week that Edwards wife was no better. I saw nothing of the prince, he particularly requested that no ladies might be asked to meet him so I was written to and told not to come."
