Abstract

CALLOCHITON MAYI, SP. NOV.
General Appearance.—Shell elliptical, strongly elevated,
and carinated. Side slopes slightly curved, and steep.
Colour: Rusty red, mottled with white.
Description of species and habitat.
It is intended to figure the species in connection with
a paper on the Tasmanian Polyplacophora in these proceedings,
which I hope may shortly appear.

In 1855 its name changed to Royal Society of Tasmania for Horticulture, Botany, and the Advancement of Science. In 1911 the name was shortened to Royal Society of Tasmania.
