Abstract
Observations taken from Valleyfield.
The fine weather promised at the end of last month was of short duration. There was some bright, sunny weather on the 11, 12 and 13th of May.
On the 25th there were slight traces of snow in the valley.
Rainfall was moderate, the wind more severe, and the temperatures showed the coldest May for the last four years.
