public buildings, schools, merchants, auctioneers, tradesmen, etc.
Frederick Proeschel (1809-1870) was a successful French map-maker and publisher. In 1863 he issued his Atlas of Australasia, based on his earlier maps of the eastern Australian colonies, together with new material. It is held in Special & Rare Collections (Morris Miller-Royal Society Rare-EFolio DU 115 .P76 1863)
Map condition is brittle and torn. Paper on canvas. Size: 62 cm x 46 cm.
