Oysters entombed in art display

posted on 2023-05-28, 01:00 authored by Davies, PEHeavy Metals in the Derwent Project spearheaded by MONA, and in conjunction with Monash University (Ross Brewin, Kit Wise), UTAS (Catriona Macleod, Peter Davies) and the Tasmanian Government Derwent Estuary Program commenced in 2013. This new items show the first 100 of 1400 dry-oysters that have been harvested from the Derwent Estuary being encased in individual glass tombs and then entombed into the Heavy Metals wall at MONA
