Abstract
A letter from James Backhouse to Dr GF Story, York 31 June 1845. Backhouse acknowledges his receipt of a case of plants sent from Tasmania, but writes that nearly all these plants were dead on arrival. He describes other letters from Tasmanian friends, as well as a 'religious visit'. From Cotton Family Papers C7/68
