People in government, journalism and business in this country,
who deal closely with Japan have publicly recognised a growing
need to find ways of successful communication, as working contacts
increase between the two countries. This is needed because not
only are there great differences in national power, differences in
history and social traditions, but as Sir William McMahon
testified after his experience as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister,
there are differences in the decision-making processes in Australia
and in Japan.
