Abstract
A draft application to the Post Master General, ND, requesting that Royal Society letters be free of charge. Story argued that the Royal Society was a public institution contributing to the 'resources of the colony', and as such ought to be exempted from the charges, which would hinder the work of members. From Cotton Family Papers C7/106
